Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa: Less than a mile from the Magic Kingdom, this is the choice for romantic getaways — and is excellent for solo or family-oriented travelers as well. The rooms are big, the parks are easy to access, and the service is uniformly stellar.
-
Villas of Grand Cypress:Not technically on Disney property, the Villas of Grand Cypress are
nonetheless very close by and have easy access to the park. It is a primarily golf-oriented resort — great if you and the kids want to see Mickey & Co. while grandma and grandpa play the links — but perhaps simply because it’s not Disney, the value-per-dollar of the Villas can’t be beaten by any other hotel on this list. -
The Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort: The best scores for cleanliness,
location, and rooms in Disney all go to the Bay Lake Tower. Located literally right outside the Magic Kingdom and connected to the monorail that is the backbone of Disney World, the Bay Lake is a modern, sleek, and professional hotel that still sets aside enough space for the kids that it feels like proper Disney fare.
