Welcome to the parks in the peak of summer.
July through August in Florida is the height of summer and the parks are packed with crowds. Well this might not be the case as always, but the previous records and speculations often suggest July and August are amongst the busiest months of the year. But that doesn’t mean you should avoid the parks on these so called most crowded days. Just remember every day is a new day and predictions can go wrong as well. Who knows you might end up with shorter wait time even in a heavily crowded day and might face longer queues in a less crowded day. This is so unexpected and as such it’s recommended to plan in advance.
Our guide through Disney World’s crowd calendar for this summer will ensure a more enjoyable vacation time despite the crowds. This article will enlighten you about the crowds for the upcoming days, provides insights on when to visit and when to avoid the parks. It will also offer tips and info about the upcoming summer events and more. Also we recommend you to take advantage of the new tools such the Disney Genie Service, Genie+ and individual Lightning lanes. And also don’t forget that the new Disney Park Pass Reservation system is there to control the traffic flow. So chances are you can still have the best vacation time even on a heavy crowded day.
The Weather In Summer: July – August, 2022
The July month in Florida is often brutal by nature and August too is no different. July is considered the hottest month of summer and the heat runs through August as well with high intensity storms, specially those mid – day storms. So if you are in the parks, it’s recommended to plan a mid-day break from the sun and showers. On the one hand you experience an extreme humidity level that leaves you sweating and on the other there are the afternoon rains to wash the sweat away too. But mostly it’s hot though. Going by the stats, every single day in July through August records an average high temperature of above 90 degrees. Average chance of precipitation each day is about 70 per cent. So it all about beating the heat, humidity and rain. Make sure to pack your stuff accordingly. Ponchos, extra pair of shoes (your shoes can get wet easily in rain), and umbrellas are some useful items that can be packed for the summer trip.
A great way to stay cool if you are visiting Magic Kingdom is to jump on the resort monorail and go to one of their seven seas resorts. There you can seek refuge from the heat by having a cool drink in their lobby or just finding a nice quiet spot to enjoy the air-conditioning . When you’re ready to go back to the park, just go back out get on the resort monorail and it will take you right back to the magic kingdom. We recommend you to take tips and ideas from reliable online sources and stay safe from the sun and showers.
The Crowd In Summer: July – August, 2022
As mentioned above the crowd is unexpectedly heavy in summer, and July is the most crowded of all. July 1 – 5 is considered as the peak time with big – time special events, starting with the Independence Day celebrations followed by spectacular fireworks and other special night – time shows at Magic Kingdom and Epcot. The Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival that runs through July 4 is another special highlights that attracts heavy crowd. Again little over a week later comes the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival 2022. And thus the heavy summer crowd is expected to keep the parks busy throughout July and continues until the mid of August 2022. From August 15, 2022 onwards the crowd is expected to be moderate and even gets lighter until August 31, 2022.
